Reborn, I would be

A bug on the blacktop

That some 2nd grader

Is pressured to eat

"I double dog dare you"

Demands their commander

My life in the hands

Of a kid with cold feet

As I'd rise to their eyes

Caught in trembling fingers

The "do it"s would

Drown out the doubt

Knowing myself

I would forgive my killer
