Helpless Romantic

I am a helpless romantic

Wearing my heart on my cast

Fit your name

On the wall of fame

And leave space–

You won’t be the last

Hopeless is far from factual

As I fall expecting a splat

I could be persuaded

My lust leaves me jaded

But where’s the enjoyment in that?

My loyalty is both a blessing

And equally as much a curse

I’ll write a love letter

To make me feel better

And every time I just feel worse

Because I am a helpless romantic

So someone tie me to the mast

My will is not strong

And I love this song

At least I’ll die having a blast!
